The best feature of the Pandetix software today is the simplicity of the alarm capability.  You’ve got full reporting when you need it, but most of the time we just depend on e-mail notification.  Also the ability to work closely with Pandetix and their willingness to make changes based on our recommendations has been a huge plus for us.

The other thing is, with the Pandetix software, I can quickly pull an equipment inventory from every customer, along with the details I need on software versions and installed patches.  That’s allowed us to move the responsibility for generating maintenance agreements over to the admin staff, which has significantly reduced our costs.

From the standpoint of alarms and inventory, and based on their per-port pricing strategy, I don’t know of anyone else in the market that can deliver the features and benefits that Pandetix offers today.  In fact, since rolling out the Pandetix managed services, we’ve seen a 25% increase in gross profit dollars for our warranty and maintenance offerings.  It’s created a nice recurring revenue stream and it’s a high margin business for us.
